Venom2 Composite Pickleball Paddle
The Venom2 Paddle sleekly combines functionality and style. The core, PFG2 Core, is made from a unique core technology made specifically for pickleball by Pickleball Inc. This was designed to generate power and increase control. Inspired by the design of popular wood paddles, the paddle has a traditional tennis-like “heavy head” and long handle which increases the amount of control players have.
The slender handle on the Venom2 Paddle is 5”-1/2 long and has a medium circumference measurement. The widest point of this paddle is at the top of the paddle’s head and is 8-1/8” from one side to the other. From there, the paddle face very gradually tapers inward, putting more of the weight in the head of the paddle. While not all of the paddle’s weight, ranging from 7.4 to 8.7 ounces, is in the head, the amount of weight in the head increases the power behind each hit. The 15-3/4” long paddle has an intimidating graphic of an almost-camouflaged scorpion hiding in the dark color of the paddle until ready to strike.
Here is a transcript of the video:
Hi, I’m Rachael Kroog from Minnesota.
Oh great. And Rachel, how’s your day been today?
Ah... It’s perfect. The weather’s perfect. The competition’s amazing. Great to see friends. The volunteers, you know, make it all happen.
I notice you’ve got this neck lace on. I’m wondering, what, what’s that about?
Oh yeah, this old thing?
Right. (laughs).
We took the silver today. So really, really happy about that. With, considering the competition, very pleased. Had a great partner.
Women’s Doubles.
Yes.
Great, and so, what paddle did you use today and..
I’m using the scorpion, the Pickleball Venom. You know, I figured cause I’m in Arizona and they actually have these guys here. No, that’s not why. But, makes for a nice story. You know, I like it. It’s got a nice touch, it’s got enough power. It’s got control. So, you know, those are the three things.
Great. Great, well congratulations on your win today.
Thank you very much.
New Venom paddle Reviewer: Emerson L. from Warren, OH United States Excellent paddle I feel a difference in all aspects, dinks, spin, and overhead slams. Would recommend. Shipping was super fast. Thanks Pickleball Central.
VENOM Reviewer: David Coulombe from Berlin, NH United States I haven't tried this paddle much yet but my son seems to like it quite a bit. It's definitely a quieter paddle but feels heavier as well. His game seems to have picked up using this so I would have to give it a favorable review!
Venom Paddle Reviewer: Pickleball Chucky from Vancouver, BC Canada I visited your store last month during a shopping trip to Kent, and was very impressed with your demo paddle selection and especially your indoor court! I'm a tennis player and have only been playing pickleball for 2 months, and really LOVE this game! I was very happy to have Anna assist me in my choice of paddles. This paddle was excellent in terms of manuverbility, dinking, power, control, & espescially in spin creation. I tested many paddles by rubbing the ball against the paddle surface, and the Venom provided the most friction. I am very happy with this choice and wish to thank Anna for her help. I would highly recommend this store to all my pickleball friends.
Awesome Paddle Reviewer: Ken W. from Lees Summit, MO United States Seems a little heavier than graphite, but works for me. I played my wife 4 times, I bet her twice with it, than she bet me twice with it. Must be the paddle??
Great paddle Reviewer: Bennett Matthew from Malvern, PA United States This paddle feels very solid, the material feels very similar to a graphite paddle than a composite. It's got lots of power but doesn't have the pop feel that you would get with a composite. Overall great paddle.
Venom paddle Reviewer: Donald Kaufman from Haslett, MI United States Just got the paddle and have used it about 6 times. So far I love it. Lots of power and control. While it is quieter than other paddles it still has a nice solid pop sound to it. Does take of getting used to because of its long handle and tear drop shape but if you'v played tennis is shouldn't be too hard.
Great Paddle! Reviewer: Robin Sutherland from Corona, CA United States Although I am a relative newbie to PB I noticed a big difference with this paddle...it's a little heavier and it lets me hit the ball hard with good control. Still light enough to play for long periods of time without fatigue. Very satisfied with this paddle!
Venom Paddle Reviewer: Will from Wellington, CO United States Great paddle with exceptional control. A nice soft feeling that controls the hard shots very well. It does not hit as hard as a full graphite paddle, but the control factor makes up for it. Highly recommend it for a intermediate or above player.
Best Paddle Yet Reviewer: Pete Sullivan from Denver & Wisconsin I previously tried the Pro Lite Impact paddle, and found it to be inferior to the entry level inexpensive ZZT Sports/Spike paddle I had previously used for over a year. The Venom, unlike some of the clunky other offerings from Pickleball Inc., felt great from the first hit! This paddle deserves and is destined to be the #1 paddle in pickleball.
