I bought this paddle for my wife (at hrr request) and she just played with it in the 2020 Mid-South Regional tournament; winning GOLD in women's singles.  We both play with Engage paddles and are very satisfied with the quality, durability, and how well they 'play'.

5 of 5 Poach ICON -used August 30, 2019

This is a very nice paddle.Just like they say it is a cross between the Elite Pro and the Poach paddles. It has the spin quality of a Poach and almost the power of the Elite Pro. If you like either of these other paddles you will like the Poach ICON. I play with the ICON paddle now most of the time, but will switch over to my Elite Pro when I need the extra power to win points. Two great paddles to have to compliment your game. I don't even need my Poach Advantage or regular Poach paddles anymore as long as I have the ICON and Elite Pro in my bag.

I was disappointed with the paddle first thing I had to do was have the handle rebuilt since it was a small thin handle for my big fat hand then approximately one week after playing with it A flaw developed on the outer edge ..  that has affected the performance of this particular paddle ..  I understood that there were no returns under any circumstance it just hurts that I wasted $120

5 of 5 Instant Icon April 12, 2019

A local teaching pro friend oaned me his new demo Engage Icon paddle to try for a week.  I have been using an Engage Poach Advantage but liked it enough to use that weekend in a tournament and won a gold and silver.  I told him that I wanted to buy it.  When I suggested a suggested getting a discount since it was now used.  He countered by saying only by me and suggested raising the price on a proven medal winning paddle.  I conceded and bought it to replace my Poach Advantage!  As for the paddle...
I've been using Engage paddles for about four years and have been pleasantly surprised by the weight consistency and quality.  The balance between 'popii and touch with my Icon is superb, allowing me to use power when needed or soften a shot to drop or reset.  I like this Engage Icon so much I bought a second one (for PickleballCentral) to be my spare, replacing my backup paddel, an unused Engage Poach Advantage.
