Staff and Friends Review the Titan Pro Paddle
Transcript of Video #3 - Sarah Ansboury
Hi guys, Sarah Ansboury- I’m coming to you from the US OPEN here in Naples, Florida. Well first, I’m going to let you know, I am your current 2015 Women’s National Doubles Champion. I won a few other medals on the way at TOC and all these other things. My actual passion is the technology that’s happening in paddles right now, which I think is fantastic. I want to talk to you about some of my favorite paddles. This is in my bag right now. This is your Black Diamond Series from Pro-Lite. It’s a Titan. This is going to be a whole series of paddles. This one has got a polymer core like a lot of paddles that are out there right now but this, on the outside, has got a carbon fiber outlay which gives you a different feel than your fiberglass or graphite or anything like that. It’s a soft feel that you don’t always get with everything. It’s got about a half inch, so it’s a little bit thicker so again it gives you the softness and the absorption that you want out of the ball, so I can hit a really solid dink. I can slow that ball down so easily just by getting my paddle on it without doing much, probably better than any other paddle I’ve played with, but I also get that nice sweet spot with a lot of power and pop in my volleys.
The other cool thing about it, which is also changeable, grips are always changeable, so you can always put what you like on it, but I really like this Diamond Grip. It’s a Pro-Lite grip specifically. It’s rubbery and it’s great to play in this humidity when we’re sweating so much. So back at home I’ll probably have a softer, cushiony grip where here I’m going to put these rubber grips on all my paddles. So, go out and demo this paddle today and see if you like it.
