Reacher Composite Blade

The Reacher Composite Blade has an extended face which will allow you to return just about any shot while maintaining a solid grip on your paddle. Due to its weight, the Reacher provides extra heft in every swing without tiring out its user's wrists. The polymer core dampens vibration while also giving players additional time to respond. This paddle's shape is perfect for those who want to dictate the pace of the game.

The Reacher Composite Blade ranges from 7.6 - 8.2 oz. The handle length is a standard 4-3/4" length with a medium grip circumference. The design features navy coloring along the sides with a white center. The manufacturer, TOPP, has its name printed in a color of your choice vertically down the middle. Matching stripes run diagonally along the sides with "Reacher" printed in the upper right.

The Reacher Composite Paddle combines power, control and flexibility into one design that will complement players who want to "do it all."

Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".

Reviews of TOPP Reacher Composite Blade Paddle by Johnson Ranch Pickleball:

"My name is Jim and I couldn’t start my day any other way than a game of pickleball! I feel fortunate to have been able to evaluate the TOPP Reacher Composite Blade Paddle. After using this paddle for five days, I feel that it's perfect for any player. The Reacher Composite has awesome balance with the extended reach. I was able to pick up balls dropped just over the net in the kitchen! The face has tremendous response with terrific control and touch for dinks... I feel like every inch of the paddle is a sweet spot!
My serves are deep and more accurate with topspin to create more errors on returns. As I have mild carpal tunnel syndrome, my hand sometimes falls asleep holding a paddle for too long. Not the case with the Reacher Composite! It has a soft grip with non-slip material so you can hold the paddle lightly and still have great control, which is terrific for the third shot drop. The USAPA-approved Reacher is perfect for the beginner or advanced players looking to improve their game. I am really impressed with the construction of the Reacher Composite, as the thin edge guard never came into play hitting an overhead. This TOPP paddle is awesome!

I was impressed with this paddle from the first time I held it. It was lighter than my usual paddle, giving me a greater feeling that it was a true extension of my hand. The most noticeable change was the longer 16” length. It definitely helped when extending for the ball and is a great asset for the shorter player. It felt very balanced. The 4.25” grip is on the smaller side which I prefer and also a little tacky, giving me the confidence that it wouldn't slip out of my hand.
Our group has recently switched to the harder, faster tournament ball which requires more precise shots. This paddle instantly gave me back the touch and control that I had prior to the ball switch. It gave me certainty in the placement of my serve and lobbing my 3rd shot just over the net. My wife, who is a 2.5 player, asked to try the paddle after she heard my praise for its overall performance. She too had an instant positive experience, expressing the same advantages of the lightness and improvement in her control.
I would definitely recommend the Topp Reacher Composite Blade paddle for the beginner to intermediate player who is looking for more touch and control.

"For the last 15-20 games I have been the TOPP Reacher Composite Blade. The shape of this paddle is the thing I liked the best about it. It's undoubtedly the longest paddle I've ever used. I was able to make several reaches that kept volleys going which I couldn’t have done with other paddles.
The length means the Reacher Composite is narrower, so I think it would be best for someone whose strength is returning sideline shots or who just appreciates a little extra extension. While the narrow profile had me expecting a smaller sweet spot, I was pleased to find the paddle responded well in all situations where off-center hits occurred. Overall I enjoyed using this paddle."

Didn't give the actual size of handle-was slightly too large for my hand.  I took off wrap and put on my own which was thinner.

have used 2 times playing indoors and outdoors. It tad bit heavier than my old paddle, however the grip and extra paddle length helps my shorter arm reach more return balls.

I love the TOPP paddle but this is the second one I have purchased that the handle broke during normal play.

4 of 5 Nice long paddle for someone looking for power June 15, 2018
Reviewer: Kayla J. from Charlottesville, VA United States
For anyone looking for a paddle on the heavier side that also has some length to it, then this is paddle for you! This is a good paddle if you are looking for some power and has a natural touch as far as drop shots and dinks. This paddle is also good for ball control. As someone who is working on third shot drives, I felt more confident trying them with the Reacher because of the length of the paddle and the location of the sweet spot. The grip felt well, I just wish it was a little longer, as I have big hands.

I like having separate paddles for singles and doubles, and I wouldn't mind using this paddle for singles. It has a decent width so I didn't have issues hitting the center of the paddle, and a little length while playing singles definitely does help! For my first TOPP paddle I will definitely try another one again!

Thanks so much to the people at Pickleball Central for allowing the Central Virginia Pickleball Club to try this paddle out. We definitely appreciate it!
