Engage Poach Infinity Pickleball Paddle

The Poach Infinity Composite Paddle from Engage Pickleball is the next generation of the beloved Poach Advantage Paddle that earned many fans over its long life. This new version features a soft feel that will be gentle on your joints yet produces enough put-away power to crush pickleballs when your opponents are unprepared. The composite skin is comprised of 6 layers of face material which result in incredible responsiveness. This unique approach to layering on the paddle face is augmented by omni-directional texturing for more control, and the ability to impart tremendous spin on your cut shots. This surface texture is applied evenly with superior bonding techniques, resulting in wonderful consistency and durability so you won't experience the texture wearing away, even after prolonged use.

The Poach Infinity Paddle is offered in two weight ranges so you can choose between an agile lightweight model, or a midweight model with more mass (and therfore more "punch"). The 5.5" long handle is wrapped in a tacky, medium-circumference grip with a perforated cushion that will absorb sweat and draw it away from the hand. The Infinity's width is a full 8" so you can enjoy the advantages of a generous sweet spot, great blocking ability, and reactive play. The core is manufactured from Engage Pickleball's proprietary Control Pro Black Polymer which, when combined with the 6-layer face material, provides a high degree of finesse and touch.

The Engage Poach Infinity Composite Paddle is a durable and reliable piece of equipment that is as easy on its handler as it is tough on the competition.

Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".

Reviews of the Poach Infinity Paddle by Pickleball Central Staff:

"Engage has always been known for their power paddles. Their line has as much power as any on the market. The problem for me has always been harnessing that power. When they came out with the Poach Advantage, I loved it because I felt I could control it. The new Poach Infinity is even better!

I used to carry the Poach Advantage in my bag for the days I felt I needed a Power Paddle. The only issue I had with the Poach Advantage was that I sometimes over-hit with a direct sweet spot strike. By contrast, I find the Poach Infinity to be very consistent at the sweet spot, no more “hot hits.” I can get the extra pop AND keep the ball between the lines.

The core thickness is a traditional 1/2” (like the
Elite Pro, Elite Pro Maverick and original Encore Composite) helping provide the pop. However, due to the 6-layer composite skin on the face, this paddle plays softer (more like the Trident or the Poach Icon). The Poach Infinity comes in Lite (7.5 – 8.0 oz.) and Standard (8.0 - 8.5 oz.) weight ranges. Handle length is longer than average at 5.5” and has one grip option at 4 1/4” in circumference.

Overall, I found the net play to be consistent, but I did need a game to dial it in. Once I did, I felt the Poach Infinity helped me handle windy conditions, and feel confident in the short game. For "all court" players who like a little power, the Poach Infinity is a must try."

"The Poach Infinity is a great balance of touch, control, and put-away power. I am a huge fan of paddles with a textured surface, and the Poach Infinity's textured face excels at allowing me to put the perfect amount of spin on the ball. I am able to reset shots and cushion blocks better thanks to the soft play of the paddle. As a player who naturally generates power, I was easily able to put away balls even with the 7.6 oz lightweight version of this paddle. Engage has won this player over with the release of the new Poach Infinity; I just might have found my new go-to paddle!"

I am a  newcomer to Pickleball.  I played racquetball many years ago.  When I first took up Pickleball  (only about 20 games ago), I was using a graphite racket I had purchased off the shelf.  It got me going, but I never could get the "feel" for the game until I purchased this paddle.  I like the sound it makes!  I like the feel of the ball on the paddle.  I have better control and more power.  Overall, my confidence has improved, and I feel I can now concentrate on form and strategy with a very sold tool in my hand.  I am very happy with my purchase.

4 of 5 Preferred my old Poach Advantage June 3, 2021
Reviewer: Alan from Murfreesboro TN
I have played a Poach Advantage (7.7 oz) for the last three years.  It has developed a few bad spots and I have been trying to find a suitable replacement.  I was excited to see Engage came out with the Poach Infinity to replace the Poach Advantage.  I ordered one to try at the same weight 7.7 oz.  I did not feel like I could spin the ball as well with the new paddle.  I did think the touch was better.  The power was not quite as good.  Overall, I preferred my old paddle and wish I could reorder.  I returned the Poach Infinity and am still searching for a new paddle.  I love the customer service and helpfulness of Pickleball Central.
