Warehouse Material Handler
Material Handler - Pickleball Central Warehouse, Pickleball Central, 22300 68th Ave. S., Kent, WA 98032
This is a physical job that requires movement throughout the workday. We are seeking someone with energy to quickly move from project to project with high productivity. Typical tasks include:
Accurately Picking orders from warehouse stock, shelves, or bins
Entering shipping data and applying mailing labels
Organizing products in warehouse shelves and bins
Checking inventory levels
Re-stocking from overstock. This may involve climbing a ladder to obtain boxes on upper shelves.
Cross training program all employees of warehouse are required to learn/train in at least 2 functional areas of warehouse operations.
Moving boxes around the warehouse using carts and/or manual pallet jack.
Working with the customer service team to assist with order issues.
Meeting shipping deadlines.
Assisting to unloading shipping containers. Sometime the contents are 25-pound nets system boxes. We typically receive a container a week.
Building kits and shrink wrap pallets for transport to Amazon. This is repetitive work that must be accurate.
Demonstrates positive attitude and teamwork.
High school education or equivalent
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Warehouse related experience (preferred)
Proficient in math and computer skills
Read and write English.
Attention to detail.
Physically able to meet the demands of this position and move quickly from one project to the next.
Tools, Equipment or Vehicles: (Items used in performing job duties)
Manual pallet jack
Stapler, repeated action stapling bag tops
Heavy duty tape dispenser 3 repeated action sealing packages for shipping
Shrink wrap film roller to wrap pallets.
Computer data entry
Forklift possible in future
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Lifting and caring items: constantly 0- 25lbs, frequently 25-50lbs and occasionally 50lbs+.
Retrieving / placing items on shelves involving squatting and/or reaching for items above shoulders.
Monday to Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm
Tuesday to Saturday 8 am - 4:30 pm
This position will work onsite in our Kent warehouse. The warehouse is not insulated and has limited heating and cooling units. Temperatures can vary from 50 80 degrees.

Returns Specialist - Pickleball Central Warehouse, Pickleball Central, 22300 68th Ave. S., Kent, WA 98032
Pickleball Central is seeking a Returns Specialist to process all returned products from our e-commerce website PickleballCentral.com and on-site tournament booth sales. This position requires in-person work in the warehouse at our Kent, Washington, facility located at 22330 68th Ave. S., Kent, WA 98032.
RETURNS Process returned products in accordance with company procedures. Refund money to customers. Communicate with customers regarding return issues via email. Follow standard operating procedure to properly report each return. Attention to detail is required to ensure our returns data is accurate. Provide statistics and data on returned products.
SHOES - Responsible for inspection, cleaning and sometimes repairing worn court shoes to determine if they are resalable as new. The company provides disposable gloves.
USED Inventory Ownership over this category of products. Determines which returned products go into the used inventory, stocks used products in the warehouse, adjusts pricing based on used products and works with marketing to promote used products.
USED portable net systems and nets Inspect and re-package used and open-box returns of portable net systems and nets. Maintain the inventory for this category in the warehouse and on the website. Returns Specialist may coordinate bulk pick-up of used net systems by a re-seller.
MYSTERY BOXES determines what returned products are suitable for inclusion in Mystery Box program, and works with marketing to build Mystery Boxes for sale on the website approximately four times a year.
MANUFACTURER DEFECTS Inspect defective returns to identify the specific defect. Tagging the product and reporting the specific defect on a spreadsheet. Occasionally packaging bundles of defects for return to the manufacturer.
ORDER PROCESSING Cross-trained to be a back-up for customer order processing.

Conditions Inside the Warehouse:
The warehouse is not insulated and has limited heating and cooling units. Temperatures can vary from 50 80 degrees. We use heaters and swamp coolers. Some corners of the warehouse have insects. An extermination service routinely services the warehouse, however there are some spider webs and occasionally other insects.
Job Days and Hours: Full time, Tuesday Saturday or, possibly, Monday - Friday, eight-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Start time either 7 am or 8am .
Requirements for the Returns Specialist position:
1. Organized able to multi-task and move quickly from one thing to the next
2. Detail orientated and accurate reporting returns accurately to preserve data integrity is critical to this position.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
4. Computer proficiency Primarily - Volusion, Microsoft Teams and Outlook and Google Sheets. Additional programs may be added over time. Training is provided.
5. Willingness on occasion to assist warehouse with tasks/projects not directly related to returns. Example: picking products during sale surges, restocking, helping with kit building, assisting with quarterly inventory count.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Organized and detail oriented. Returns data must be accurate.
2. Quick learner.
3. Able to multi-task.
4. Able to troubleshoot issues/conflicts.
5. Able to work in a team or individually.
6. Positive attitude
7. Goal oriented.
8. Familiarity with Volusion or Big Commerce or other e-commerce sales platform is a plus!
9. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Docs is a plus.
10. Good grammar and writing skills.
11. Knowledge and passion for pickleball is a plus!
Compensation: $20-22/hour depending on experience
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
