Pickleball Central's Pro Staff Review of Selkirk Latitude
Here's the review of the Latitude from Pickleball Central's 5.0 Rated In-House Teaching Pro - Peter Hudachko:
"I was really excited to test out the new Selkirk Latitude. I found this to be a very good lightweight paddle, excellent for intermediate players looking for a paddle that gives them good touch. It uses a composite poly core, so when you want to swing harder and generate some power, the paddle won't let you down. The low-profile, high-tack grip provides exceptional feedback, adding to the sense of paddle control. If you desire a paddle that is more head weighted, then this paddle is for you. Seriously - Selkirk Quality for under $70? Count me in!"
Check out what our Assistant Pro-Shop Manager Pete Saman had say after playing with the Latitude Widebody:
"We added the Latitude into our demo pool, and I wanted to make sure I understood this paddle from Selkirk before customers started asking me about it. With over 100 demo models available, I really enjoy trying out new paddles. The first thing I notice when I pick up a paddle is its grip. I prefer a medium to medium small grip and this grip felt good. It's thinner with less texture than I am used to, but the grip translated the core feel really well - ball strikes feel solid. The paddle plays a bit top-heavy - making it play heavier than its 7.0 weight. I feel it would be really well suited for someone with racquetball or table tennis experience. When I picked it up, I immediately weighed it and was a bit surprised it weighed in at only 7.0 ounces. The head-heavy weighting really shows when you hit a long volley - it had enough power and control to punch a ball back despite it's light weight. The paddle has a very solid feeling core - very sturdy feeling when you hit it. Because of its composite core, it has quite of bit of pop. It has a nice feel, especially when trying to put some spin on the ball. I think this is a game improvement paddle for experienced intermediate players, or a great starter paddle for someone who is taking the sport VERY seriously. Great Selkirk quality at a fantastic price. I'm a fan of the Latitude!"
