Kollectaball K-Max Ball Collector

The Kollectaball K-Max Ball Collector attracted tons of attention on our courts before we ever made it available to the public thanks to its functional, and surprisingly fun, pick up prowess! This tool is conveniently light weight and can be rolled across courts strewn with discarded pickleballs almost like a sport-centric vacuum. The balls slide between the wires and have them safely stored in record time. No wait, no sore back and no more dread when you look at your court after practice.

The Kollectaball K-Max Ball Collector can be dispensed into a cart or basket and has a hook at the end of its handle so it can be hung on a fence or peg during storage. The K-Max now features a stand that allows it to sit on the floor if no fencing is available to hang it. It can hold up to 40 pickleballs so you won't have to empty it many times during use. You can easily pick up hundreds of balls in seconds thanks to this functional design. The collector comes with 60 wires, but you'll only need half during assembly to ensure proper use with pickleballs.

The Kollectaball K-Max Ball Collector is a huge time saver for every serious coach or player that wants to take the pain out of court clean-up.

Reviews of the Kollectaball K-Max Ball Collector by Pickleball Central Staff:

"I have had the opportunity over the years to put on exhibitions and demonstration of the most popular ball machines on the market. While I love to demo these products, my back was not always a fan of the pick up necessary after shooting out hundreds of balls. Then we got the Kollectaball K-Max. Now my back feels better and I spend a fraction of the time on pick-up. The K-Max is the easiest ball collector to use. It even makes the chore fun. You roll over the balls, watch them get gobbled up and then simply dump them in the basket - about 50-60 at a time. This is one innovative machine that makes drilling, teaching or demoing an even more enjoyable undertaking!"

5 of 5 Assembly was tedious, not bad. Great quality. September 2, 2020
Reviewer: PickleJAR from Folsom, CA United States
Not sure if they updated their instructions but between those and the video I didn't have any problem at all. Took around an hour, includes taking caution to get everything right.

assembly is tedious but well worth it in final build quality. If you plan on picking up a lot of balls, this will save a lot of time and energy. Worth the price, tennis player can relate to having a quality ball pickup: don't need it but it makes your job efficient
. Saving energy/time picking up balls means more quality court time.
One tip I'd recommend: install half the wires. In some reviews I noticed people having to press the cage to pick up balls. I installed the 4 numbered wires (via the instructions) then alternated holes with wires inserted. With this method, the weight of the handle itself is enough to pick up the balls and you have plenty of spare wires. If you find you need more hold or if you use this for tennis also, I'd  install the rest of them.

I'd recommend this product.

while the item might have worked the instructions to assemble it were VERY poorly written so consequently i assembled it backwards and having do so it can not be be disassembled at that point it is  useless ***PBC Reply*** Hi Cal, thanks very much for the feedback. You are not alone, many customers have found the assembly instructions confusing. We've done our best to overcome this by posting a few instructional videos on our product page for the K-Max as well, and advise every customer to watch these (and read completely through the written instructions) before attempting assembly. We will have one of our excellent Customer Service folks reach out to you for a status on your assembly and see if we can be of any assistance over the phone. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience. The PickleballCentral Team

4 of 5 Seems to work well. Assembly instruction need work August 12, 2020
Reviewer: Timothy Greenwood from Newburyport, MA United States
I have just finished assembly and a little test run. It seems to work very well. Every comment here references the assembly problems. I found the actual assembly to be reasonable, the problem comes with the assorted instructions and surplus of parts. The model that arrives is intended for tennis balls with the modification for pickleballs being in the assembly. So my first problem was with the most complex looking part which is just not used. The ideal solution would be for the manufacturer to package a pickleball specific version, but if this is not going to happen then improving the online instructions will help a lot. The instructions here supplied ny Pickleball Central are invaluable but should be improved - start by identifying these unneeded parts and being clear about them. Also the instructions do not show the little stand at the end of the V part.   I was about to throw it out, but just noticed the photos here as I came to write the review - it will make a good stand. ***PBC Reply*** Hi Timothy - thank you so much for your notes! You're absolutely right, when the K-Max tool was updated with that handy stand, we didn't update our instructions to include it. We are taking steps to address that omission now; thank you again! - The PickleballCentral Team
