GAMMA Compass Graphite Pickleball Paddle

The Compass Graphite Paddle gives players a long and versatile reach paired with a top quality polymer core. The special NeuCore technology uses larger cells that and a 25% thicker core to create a paddle that feels gentle on impact but still offers power when needed. Its textured graphite face meets USAPA guidelines but makes it easier to add spin to balls. Despite its length, the Compass has an excellent sense of balance that can be used to control shots from any angle.

The Compass Graphite Paddle is a generous 16-5/8" long and weighs approximately 7-3/4 oz. It has a 4-3/4" long handle with a small grip that allows for quick changes in positioning. The face features a large image of a compass printed along the left side with the Gamma logo in the upper right corner. These designs are offset by a smooth, grey-colored background and the paddle's name on the right.

The Compass Graphite Paddle will direct you towards a higher standard of play thanks to its smooth, dynamic feel and adaptable length.

Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".

Test Reviews of the Gamma Compass Pickleball Paddle:

"Our club, Tomahawk Area Pickleball, tested the Gamma Compass with a cross section of players: men and women with skill levels ranging from 2.5 to 4.0. Across the board, players found the Compass provided a solid punch. One 3.5 player noted he liked 'the pop off the face of the paddle.' Another was overjoyed by the large sweet spot: 'For the first time, I felt like I knew where the ball was going when I hit it.' The touch of the paddle was praised by one of our 4.0 players. She found it made her third-shot drops more consistent and was impressed by the control it offered for shot placement. The elongated face also made reaching shots easier. Our aggressive players loved the paddle's feel, noting it felt soft even when hitting hard. The short handle and smaller grip make it perfect for players with small to normal-sized hands. The square grip is great for transitions and positioning during awkward shots. Until it was mentioned after play, most players never even noticed the Compass' extra thickness. Everyone enjoyed the Compass' balance, many of whom had never used an elongated paddle before. That's a true compliment to the designers at Gamma. Overall we found the Gamma Compass a great paddle, especially for those looking to add that extra bit of touch to their net game while still craving power. The most frequent compliment I heard was the exceptional feel when striking the ball. This paddle may be what the advanced player needs for a shot-making edge, but the average player will find great comfort in the oversized sweet spot. If you ever have an opportunity to try the Gamma Compass, you won’t be disappointed."

5 of 5 The Gamma Compass is amazing !! November 27, 2019
Reviewer: Jill Norman from New Zealand
I have had a Gamma Needle for the last year & 1/2 and love that paddle. It is light, well balanced and I can hit any shot I want - it is a very forgiving paddle as well.  I thought I would try the Gamma Compass paddle.   The Compass has the same forgiving sweet spot the Needle has, but it definately has a bit more "pop" or power for the serve & return.  It is a bit heavier in the head than the needle, so I start the day with the Needle & then when I am hitting a good ball with that, I swap to the Compass.  I hardly notice the change as they are much the same paddle.   I think Gamma are the best paddles out there (& I have tried -at Nationals - most all the brands they had).  Most are 'top' heavy in my view & not the greatest paddles because of that, especially for women.   Gamma don't get a fair go with their brand as they are not "out there" like Selkirk & Paddletec, but I personally think they are the best all round paddles you can buy.

5 of 5 Bringing back the ‘pop’ to pickleball ... November 25, 2019
Reviewer: Eugene Worth from Kearney, MO United States
I first tried this paddle at a LevelUp pickleball camp with DJ Howard. I had several Selkirk paddles previously with the latest being the Omni. Great paddle.

However, it only took 10 minutes and a quick game of ‘dink’ to see how much better the Gamma paddle worked for my game. I got more pop from the paddle. It seemed like a better/larger sweet spot. Finally, I lost nothing from the finesse game, except that I needed to adjust for the ‘pop’ and tendency to push the ball further than I needed. Am I sold on this paddle? Well, let’s just say that I now own 2 identical Gamma Compass paddles ... ‘nuff said.

5 of 5 Gamma Compass Graphite Paddle October 29, 2019

I sorted through the spreadsheet of paddles on your website.  Narrowed my choice down to two paddles.  I visited your store in Kent (WA), talked with the staff about the features that were important to me and they said just take any paddle off the wall and try it on the indoor court.  I played a skinny game with a traveling buddy and decided on the Gamma.  Nice soft stoke feel, good traction, and it just felt natural in my hand.  I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I'm very pleased.

When my Selkerk Maxima broke down internally, I was planning to buy the Invicta.  I played with the Compass and it was ♥️ at first play.  At 7.7 oz the balance is perfect with a large sweet spot and a great feel with all types of shots.  I can impart all the spin I need and it is $10 cheaper than the Invicta.  I ordered on Friday morning (got the exact weight I requested) and had it in the DC area in Monday's mail.  The usual great service from Pickleball Central.  With PC's service and return policy, I will buy no where else.
