Engage Omega Evolution Extreme Graphite Pickleball Paddle

The Omega Evolution Extreme Pickleball Paddle from Engage has a textured, omni-directional surface so you can send pickleballs directly to the openings in your opponents' defense. Made with T700 carbon fiber, this top-quality material endures over time instead of losing grit like an overlay. Internally, Engage's polymer HoldTEK paddle core is all about control, and equally disperses and releases energy from impact. This is primarily a control paddle, but it delivers an adequate degree of pop when needed.

The Omega Evolution Extreme Paddle features the "traditional" pickleball paddle shape, at 8" wide and 16" in overall length. These dimensions lend themselves to a strong blocking defense at the net, near-effortless resets from mid-court, and provide plenty of surface area to forgive mis-hits during quick exchanges. Two core thicknesses are offered so players can further hone in on their ideal match: 13mm (for a bit more pop) and 16mm (for a bit more control). The handle length is 5" while the circumference is 4.25" (on the 13mm model) or 4-3/8" (on the 16mm model) and arrives wrapped in an ultra perforated cushion grip.

The Omega Evolution Extreme Paddle from Engage Pickleball will give you the edge you need to slice like a pro while maintaining consistent control.

Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".

I am a 4.5 Dupr rated player and have four of these paddles. I really like the paddle and have successfully used it in major tournaments. However, my one complaint is the edges do not hold up and splinter. This is causing me to consider other alternatives.

Review of Evolution Extreme 5/8-inch Omega Pickleball By Engage Pickleball This is my first review of a pickleball paddle. I have been playing for several years now and have had an opportunity to play with quite a few paddles. This is the first time that I have been provided demo paddles and want to thank Pickleball Central for providing them. I hope Pickleball Central will provide more opportunities to demo other paddles and to write additional reviews. The Evolution Extreme 5/8-inch is a squared shape paddle compared to its sister paddle, the Evolution Extreme X 5/8-inch paddle which is a rectangular shape. Both paddles are thicker than any of the other paddles that I have ever used. The Extreme seemed more like a control/touch paddle compared to a power paddle. I was able to make third shot drops and dink shots more easily. The finesse game is very important to me as I am often referred to a “banger” on the courts. However, when I need to drive the ball or have a firefight at the non-volley zon, that wasn’t a problem. The paddle felt great in my hand. I typically wear gloves on both hands to get a better feel fo the paddle but with the type of grip on this paddle there was no need. The grip and by extension the paddle, felt very smooth - like I was wearing a glove, but wasn’t. Even in slightly colder temperatures when many people were wearing gloves, I was not which is very unusual. The thing I liked the most about this paddle is the feel of the paddle and grip as explained above. It allowed me to greatly improve my finesse game while not taking away from my power game. This paddle is best suited for players who are trying to improve their soft game, third shot drops, dink and serves as it inspires confidence with these types of shots. A few of my friends also tried the paddle and loved it. One friend in particular would ask if I brought the paddle and if he could use it. Of course, I would let him use it and his game substantially improved which is saying a lot because he is already a very good player. Honestly, he has never played better and I suggested that he get this paddle during the upcoming holiday season.
