EDTL Eye Shields

The EDTL Lensless Eye Shield is a simple, no-nonsense way to protect your eyes from damage during pickleball play. These guards are distinct from other forms of eyewear due to the fact that there are no lenses; your eyes are protected solely by the framing of the eyewear. This removes that ever-annoying glare from the sun hitting the lenses. The light’s gleam is also combatted by the nearly-black color of the lens, which absorbs this brightness during both indoor and outdoor play. These glasses are nearly indestructible as they are made out of a co-molded polycarbonate material with a thermoplastic rubber. These materials also increase player’s comfortability and protection.

The EDTL Lensless Eye Shield has several awesome features for your maximum satisfaction. The eye gap is wider and thicker, which adds to your peripheral visibility. The framing thickens up near the brow to better absorb impact from stray balls. Sweat is nearly guaranteed to stay out of your eyes thanks to the thermoplastic rubber padding which runs along the entire back of the frames. You can adjust the tightness of the strap to ensure the shield is tight enough for your unique head size.

The EDTL Lensless Eye Shield should be an accessory found in every pickleball player’s equipment bag.

3 of 5 As advertised but not what I want November 6, 2015

I could not get used to my peripheral vision being obscured to the extent it was when I wore these. I am used to wide partially rimmed sunglasses. I think I will pursue amber or clear lenses for eye protection when sunglasses are not required. PICKLEBALLCENTRAL RESPONSE: This is just a note to thank you for your feedback.  It sounds like the Lenseless Eye Shield isn’t working for you.  You just don’t know until you try it, and we know that it is important to try something to see if it works for you.  We do have a 30-day return/exchange policy, so feel free to return them for exchange or refund.

5 of 5 Lensless Eye Shields October 20, 2015
Reviewer: Benny Justice from Groveland, FL United States
After taking two hits in the right eye from hard hit balls glancing off my paddle, the eye shields work great.  Other players ask about the eye shields and how they work.  I just pick up a ball in my hand and slam the ball hard into the eye shields which convinces other players the eye shields work.  Now I don't even think about the possibility of getting hit in the eye again.  If you have ever taken a hit in the eye from a ball, I highly recommend these eye shields.  No lens means no fogging of lens to impair vision.  The eye shields work great for me.
