Covert Pickleball Paddle

The Covert Paddle features cutting-edge engineered graphics allowing exceptional spin and control with every hit. With unique SPINtac technology, PROLITE has created a paddle that helps grip pickleballs and sends them spiraling away from the competition. This paddle also has an extra wide body which lends itself to a giant sweet spot, making impact feel responsive yet controlled.

The Covert Paddle is 7.9 - 8.2 oz with a medium grip and 5" handle length. Its polymer core makes it quiet enough to use in noise-restricted communities and also helps to divert vibration away from your hands and evenly across the paddle's body. An image of a pickleball with a lightning bolt runs through the upper right corner of the paddle's face with its name placed at the bottom.

The Covert Paddle's adaptive design and sturdy core will sneak up on your opponents and have you putting away balls before they know what hit them!

Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".

Reviews of the ProLite Covert Pickleball Paddle by Pickleball Central Staff:

"As a touring pro player who works in a pro-shop with over 100 models of paddles, I play with everything on the wall to make sure I can properly advise customers about what paddle is best for their needs. The Covert was exciting, because for those of us who got to hit with the infamous Apex paddle, it brings back great memories. This paddle has several fantastic attributes. First, you can generate a significant amount of spin. If you are looking to work the ball, this is your weapon. It is heavier than a typical paddle, so blocking is super easy - balls seem to drop into the kitchen easily on a blocking volley. The power is insane - you can truly crush a ball to put it away. Seems like power and spin are both integrated into this paddle, rare for a power paddle. People who like a heavier paddle and an oblong grip shape will really like this paddle. The only trade off is ball feel. While the sweet spot is large, I didn't "feel" the ball on the face like I do with the ProLite Carbon Fiber (Black Diamond) paddles, but this is a different beast and no paddle does it all. If you come from a tennis background, and you are a serious player, you HAVE to try this out."

"I played a game of skinny singles (great game for two people that requires accuracy and shot making over passing and power) using Pro-Lite’s new Covert Paddle. It was perfect for the game. I found the paddle had more punch than the Titan or SuperNova, and I was still able to control my shots. I could hit the angles both deep and short. The other advantage, as is often the case with Pro-Lite paddles, I was able to put a good amount of spin on the ball. Long shots with top spin stayed in, and the cut backhand was a great mid-range shot. At the net, it had a soft touch for good control for a power oriented paddle, exceptional for a paddle with this much power. I am also a fan of the grip on this paddle. It is a bit oblong and lets me know where my paddle is facing."

"Staying true to the reputation that they have built with the Titan and SuperNova Pro-Lite Pickleball is back with another paddle offering fantastic ball control and a large sweet spot. The Covert, modeled after the Apex composite paddle is a high end performance offering from Pro-Lite that blends well the power of a fiberglass face paddle with the excellent ball control Pro-lite has been able to create with their other high end paddles.

An oversize paddle face helps enhance the large sweet spot further increasing player confidence, ball feel and shot reliability. A mid-heavy weight paddle at 8.3 ounces and head biased weighting increase stability and power though for players who are used to a lighter weight paddle it might take some getting used to. Initially I found myself a little slow to the ball at the net and had some difficulty getting around on the ball for backhand shots leaving my paddle face too open but I adjusted quickly. I believe this aspect of the paddle lends it to be better suited to tennis converts.

The grip feel is good and has an oblong shape, being wider than it is thick which helps with paddle orientation and fits well in the palm for those that like this style. The most noticeable feature is the consistent ball feel across the paddle face resulting in confident shots and ball placement from anywhere on the court. While on the heavier side the paddle offers a good mix of power and control and I think this could be a great option for players with racquet sport experience or those preferring a mid-heavy weight, head weighted paddle but desiring great ball control and a large sweet spot."

This is only my second paddle and I have been playing for about a year. I am still very much a racquetball player learning the game and like to bang it more than dink. With that said, this paddle has good spin and a nice solid feel when hitting power shots. Still adjusting, but I like the paddle a lot after two days of use.

So far it seems like a good paddle. I am always interested in any new products that provide for increased spin along with control.
I appreciated the extra effort on your packing, so the paddle arrived in great condition.
