Soft, very comfortable. It seems to get attention, as I was in a fast-food place a couple weeks ago and the young man serving my sandwich asked me "what's Pickleball?"; naturally a 5-minute conversation started - and he seemed interested in playing (much to the disgust of those in line behind me!).
