Aspen Kern Centre Pickleball Paddle by Franklin

Aspen is the center of attention for a reason!

The Aspen Kern Centre Franklin Pickleball Paddle keeps fast and controlled play at the forefront of its design. Created with the input of a professional player (never mind that some mistakenly misspell his name Kearn or Kearne), you can expect high quality construction in every part of its features. It uses long-lasting materials that can stand up to the rigors of frequent play while ensuring players experience a great sense of touch, pop and dexterity. The Aspen Kern Paddle uses MaxGrit technology to create a USAPA-approved, textured surface which makes adding spin to shots a breeze. The polypropylene core is 13mm so that it minimizes shock, making it easier to maintain your position after defending slams. Its weight range is 7.5 – 7.8 oz, keeping its overall feel trim and agile. It has a medium circumference grip with a 7.8” face width. The Aspen Kern Center Paddle will make even the most intense games feel more manageable and precise.

Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".
PickleballCentral Expert's Corner:

Reviews of the Franklin Aspen Kern Paddle by Pickleball Central Staff:

"The Aspen Kern Centre paddle is the lightest and fastest paddle in the Franklin signature line up. The balance on this paddle was more toward my hand, adding to the light feel. The 15.7 X 7.8 paddle has a square playing face. This shape, along with the carbon fiber face extends the sweet spot a little bit more than the other signature models. And, the Centre also has the MaxGrit to help give a little extra on top spin and cut shots. Overall, the Centre paddle has the shape and face to be a good defensive paddle. The ball reacts consistently off of blocks. The weight allows my hands to be as quick as possible. And with a wider sweet spot, I was able to dig tough shots at my feet. When I wanted to put the ball away, it didn’t always have the pop I wanted. But, when I play my best, it is where and not how hard that gets me points, and the Aspen Kern Center paddle helps me put the ball where I want."

Reviewer: Stephen Fuller from Scottsdale, AZ United States
I have purchased numerous paddles that were more expensive. Many opponents with whom I play have said  that my control and spin are better with this paddle. My only small drawback is that the paddle seems less "solid" than other paddles I have used. However, speed is adequate and control is very good.
