A moderately-elongated paddle utilizing a unique blend of face materials and structural reinforcement creating a soft-playing, yet attack-oriented paddle.

Middleweight/Small Grip

adidas ADIPOWER ATTK Pickleball Paddle

The adidas ADIPOWER paddles use new materials to create pickleball paddles which offer attack-style players a soft feel, while still delivering the power they crave. The face is "carbon aluminized," which covers a hard material with a soft coating – resulting in a paddle that possesses different levels to the feel and playability. The "ATTK" model (pronounced "attack") is the most powerful paddle in the new adidas lineup, and will satisfy players who enjoy a moderately elongated shape.

The ADIPOWER ATTK Pickleball Paddle is offered in a weight range of 7.7 - 8.2 oz., with a small-circumference grip (4-1/8"), and a 4-3/4" long handle. The overall paddle measures 16-1/2" long and 7-1/2" wide, resulting in a sweet spot located toward the top of the paddle face. The 14.28mm (0.56") thick, high-density poly honeycomb core lends ball control and touch. Durability comes in the form of structural reinforcement on the perimeter of the paddle, and adidas' "Spin Blade" technology adds surface texture for dynamic rotation on your slicing shots. Add it all up, and the ADIPOWER ATTK delivers solid, pro-level performance.

The ADIPOWER ATTK Carbon Aluminized Pickleball Paddle by adidas is designed for advanced-to-pro levels of play.

Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".

Please Note: adidas’ Carbon Aluminized surface treatment will sometimes cause a slight blurring underneath the graphic. This is caused when the carbon shows through the aluminum, and it does not affect the performance of the paddle.

The paddle has a glass surface that is physically incapable of spinning the ball. This seems like a paddle that was created 10 years ago. It has co competition to offer against any paddle made in the last 5 years... terrible ***PBC Response*** Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. • My new favorite

I’ve been using this paddle for a little over a week and it has quickly become my favorite! This summer I’ve been experimenting with a few different paddles and had settled on the Selkirk Vanguard Hybrid Mach6. The Mach6 is a great paddle, but the Adidas Adipower ATTK can generate more power and spin while offering just as good of forgiveness. I play with a ton of spin to keep hard shots in the court and this paddle delivers. Before this paddle I used to only hit drives with top spin but with the Adipower ATTK it has been easier to generate more side spin (in either direction) for cutting drives. The group I regularly play with have all been impressed with the Adidas paddle. It is powerful but controllable, with great touch around the net. If you don’t mind a mid/heavy weight paddle, you should give the Adipower ATTK a try.

  • Easy Transition from Tennis

Adidas has a great name is sports, so I was anxious to try out some of its brand new pickleball paddles recently. Even with higher expectations for a product coming from such a popular athletic brand, I wasn’t disappointed. The first paddle I tried, which already carried the USA Pickleball "Approved" label, was the ADIPOWER ATTK. It is designed in the new, elongated style, measuring a full 16 1/2 inches long, while still maintaining a longer grip length of 4 3/4 inches. This is great for a big guy like myself because it allowed my larger hands to completely wrap around the grip. The paddle weighed in at approximately eight ounces, which puts it comfortably in the middleweight category. The paddle definitely seems to play well for the "power" player, and I enjoyed taking good whacks with it whenever I could. The sweetest spot seems to be more toward the top of the paddle, which contributes to the "pop" one gets when the ball comes off the paddle. I especially liked being able to smash some fast, deep serves using this paddle. I let a few other guys try this paddle for a while and one of the guys, a seasoned tennis player, was particularly impressed with how this paddle played. He felt that the reach he got from the elongated shape, combined with the solid weight and full-sized grip, most closely matched how he played tennis, making his transition between the two sports that much more comfortable.

  • Good Choice for an Experienced Player

Paddle has solid feel when striking the ball. The extended length feels comfortable and so narrow as to reduce sweet spot of the paddle. The paddle excelled in power smashes and the extended length gave more room for error on overheads - particularly when you were reaching. Ground strokes were solid and control was excellent when picking up heavy spin shots. The handle/grip is comfortable and gives good feel when striking the ball. The paddle does appear to have a little more weight toward the top end of the paddle - which seemed to add solid power when reaching for shots. The looks are bright and very recognizable. I was asked by several players - I didn't know Adidas made paddles? I did let others try the paddle - although most were for short periods of time (15-20 minutes). In all cases they echoed that the paddle was solid - gave a good feel when striking the ball. The overall comment on the paddle is that this is a good paddle for an experienced player (3.5 or higher). That is because of the power it provides and the level of control when striking. The smooth surface of the paddle face actually created more spin then I expected. This made it a nice mix of power and finesse.

  • Good Mix of Power and Control

Overall I found the paddle to be a solid performer that would be a good choice for players at any skill level, but is probably best suited for intermediate to advanced level players that like a paddle that combines both power and control. The paddle provides a good mix of power and control, but to me felt as though it leaned somewhat more to control/touch than power. The paddle feels lighter than it is, so it was easy to react quickly during hand battles at the net. This also made it easy to soften up drop shots and dinks. The thing I liked most about the paddle was its soft feel. Because the ball feels like it stays on the paddle face for a long time on drop shots, dinks, and resets, I was able to hit all of those shots consistently and with confidence. The paddle has a big sweet spot, and was forgiving and stable even on off-center hits when volleying and hitting ground strokes. The paddle face design and texture helps generate spin, and players that prefer to use spin will like the ease in generating both topspin and slice spin. I was able to generate good topspin especially on forehand roll shots at the net. Hitting backhand slice serve returns and slice dinks was easy once I figured out that the paddle generated more spin than the paddle I normally use. The paddle provides solid power when hitting ground strokes and hard volleys. Players that tend to over hit their shots will appreciate the control the paddle provides to keep hard hit shots in the court. I was able to swing confidently to achieve pace, depth, and placement on ground strokes and serves. The paddle provides plenty of pop when hitting overheads and touch volleys for winners. The grip is high quality and was comfortable when using a continental grip. Despite the heat and humidity, the paddle did not slip. Anyone that prefers a slightly larger and more squared off grip will like the way the paddle grip feels.

  • Don't Make Unnecessary Adjustments

I had a chance to try the Adidas ADIPOWER ATTK paddle when Pickleball Central invited the Loveland Pickleball Club to test Adidas' new line. Of the three paddles available, this model seemed most likely to address my needs; it is designed for the intermediate-to-advanced player who needs a paddle capable of hitting powerful, but controlled shots. The spec sheet indicates that the Adipower ATTK has a "carbon aluminized" face laid over a honeycomb core, a design that is not too different from my current paddle, so I knew that I wouldn’t have to make drastic adjustments to my play, but nevertheless, I was a bit surprised when I first picked up the paddle. It’s much lighter and the grip is a bit smaller than I expected for a "power paddle." This weight range is from 7.7 to 8.2 ounces, and I suspect my test model fell at the lower end of that range. The grip for this test paddle was likely a smaller size to accommodate a range of players, and I am used to using an overgrip, so I can't call this a fault of the paddle. It took me a couple of games to get the true feel for this paddle. At first, I found myself trying to compensate for the perceived lower weight by swinging harder. This turned out to be an unnecessary adjustment. The face of the ATTK really does generate extra power with just a solid hit. As the spec sheet suggests, the sweet spot for this paddle seems to be in the top third of the paddle face – another adjustment from my current paddle, but after a few games, I found this to be an advantage, especially on overhead put-aways. A couple other observations... I found the ATTK to be quieter than expected. Other power paddles I've tried make a loud pop at impact. The honeycomb core of this paddle seems to absorb much of the noise. And the slightly longer face allowed me to reach a few balls near the net that I may have missed with my current paddle. Overall, I think the Adidas Adipower ATTK paddle can be a great weapon for the player who has decided to focus on a more aggressive style of play. It has the power that many of us seek, but it doesn't lose its touch.

  • An Appropriate Name

An appropriate name. The paddle is great when attacking your opponent and has great feel with a very solid impact. I am used to a solid paddle and this was right up my alley - good feel and control when pressuring opponents with power shots. The paddle surface technology was unique in that it gave power - but I did not sense a loss of touch or control when playing. The longer paddle length was also excellent when powering slams or put away shots. The grip felt natural and did not slip in my hands during hard volleys. The grip was comfortable and provided excellent feel when striking the ball. I never guessed the quality of a hit. What impressed me the most was that while the power was obvious - the paddle was surprisingly good with touch when the game slowed down. During dink rallies the paddle exhibited solid control and feel and compared well against paddles meant for more control and less power. The sweet spot which is a little forward of center on the paddle was natural and exceptional good when slamming. Although hits closer to the handle did not lose power as I would expect. Overall the ADIPOWER ATTK paddle is an excellent choice for an intermediate to advanced player. An excellent blend of power with touch.
