ProXR Signature 16 Carbon Fiber Paddle

The Signature 16 Pickleball Paddle by ProXR takes the original ProXR Signature Graphite Paddle and gives it a 16mm (0.63") thick polypropylene core for impressive control and stability, plus a bit of extra length and a slightly narrower width. The sweet spot is broadened all the way to the sides to maximize the paddle's hittable surface area, and the neck is now more tapered to move the sweet spot further away from the hand resulting in wonderful power from baseline depths. The 3K carbon face provides texture to enhance spin, allowing players to react quickly and efficiently whenever they need to change up a ball's trajectory or catch opponents off guard with a devastating cut serve.

The Signature 16 Paddle retains the ProXR's unique 23-degree angled handle shape, which contributes to speedy whipping follow-throughs, more swing leverage, and quicker reloads back to center. Its weight range is 8.0 – 8.4 oz, giving it a nice amount of pop. The paddles width is 7.5", overall length is 16.5", with a handle length of 5.5" and grip circumference of 4.25" that lets players use double-handed backhands if desired.

"The ProXR Signature 16 utilizes ProXR's unique proprietary 23-degree angled handle cap intended to intuitively improve grip position and leverage for easer re-load, quicker reactions, and improved power. When I first tried ProXR paddles I wasn't sure about the handle feel but I quickly began to appreciate it's benefits. For me, as an intermediate player, it comes with the added benefit of always knowing exactly how my paddle is oriented in space without having to adjust my grip or take my eyes off the ball.

ProXR has taken a leap in feel and performance with their new 16mm core paddles, and this is exemplified in the ProXR Signature 16 which offers significantly improved performance characteristics over their 10.5mm core Signature paddle in sweet spot and ball control. The thing that jumped out to me most, however, was how wonderful this paddle feels in the hand and on the court – smooth, stable, predictable, and well-balanced.

Intermediate and advanced players will likely also appreciate the elongated (and slightly narrower) shape for increased leverage, power, and reach. Even with the slightly narrower shape I found the sweet spot to be generous and consistent, likely a result of the combination of this new head shape design, the thicker core, and the carbon weave face. The gritty surface helped with spin on my cut serves and returns, for sure.

I think this is an excellent paddle for intermediate and advanced players who want a paddle that performs well from any depth on the court, with excellent feel and ball control in a moderately elongated shape that fits many playing styles. If you are looking for a paddle with these same characteristics but a bit more pop, the ProXR Advantage Blackout Series 16 with its fiberglass composite face would be a great option."

    This paddle gave me so much control and feel at the kitchen, one of my favorites paddles for dunking and resets as well. The handle on these paddles also gave me much more flick in the wrist when it came to my rolls

    I am so excited about the release of the Signature 16 mm paddle. The amount of stability offered in this new, thicker model is fantastic and thanks to the carbon fiber (3K carbon face) I am able to generate a lot more underspin on my serves and returns. Thank you, ProXR, for making another fabulous paddle! LOVE IT!
