Description Technical Specs

Tempest Wave Graphite Paddle

The Tempest Wave Graphite Paddle is the first graphite paddle to come from the highly-respected paddle manufacturer, Paddletek. The graphite face is extremely responsive and provides a quicker pop off the paddle’s face, resulting in a faster game. Inside, the polymer core is the quietest core material and is awesome for the “touch” game. The combination of a graphite face with a polymer core is said to provide a better ground stroke and is certainly a “player’s paddle”. The sharp-looking face features the graphic of a wave as a nod to the paddle’s name, “Tempest”.

The Tempest Wave Graphite Paddle is a great choice for players looking for a paddle with a relatively long handle without being too heavy. The 5 1/4” long handle is perfect for ex-tennis players, while the grip is a great smaller size. The 8” wide face provides ample hitting surface, and the overall length of the paddle is a respectable 15-7/8” long. The 7.35 to 7.6 ounce weight range is light enough to give killer dink shots, yet heavy enough to have some power when need be.

The Tempest Wave Graphite Paddle is sure to be a crowd favorite.

Available in the following colors: blue, red, pink

Here's a transcript of the video: Hey, it’s Jennifer Lucore, and I play with the Tempest. I like it the best because it has some really great feel. The weight I like is about 7.5 ounces and it has really great touch so get yourself a Tempest.

Tempest Graphite April 29, 2017

After playing for just 6 months, I needed more control and less "pop", as my returns were often long. I switched from a fiberglass/Nomex paddle to Tempest Graphite and instantly found better spin and control on serves and dinks. Love this racket from Paddletek!! I am 6'5" and don't need more power. This paddle completes my game. PickleballCentral provided great advice.

The best of all PB paddles that I have (8)! More power, more control, it's wide and it looks good. This now my #1 PB paddle

Great Service and paddle April 26, 2017

We purchased a tempest wave and the voltage.  We both really liked the wave but the voltage seemed a bit dead comparatively.  We exchanged the paddles at no charge and had our paddle within 3 days.  Great service and very nice paddle.

Love the paddle. Has a little grabbing power for those flip shots. Nice bounce off the paddle too for the blocks. Played with the Encore Pro but broke 2 handles. If this holds up, it is a better paddle in my opinion. I'm a 4.0 player

My first paddle April 16, 2017
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Santa Cruz, CA United States
I'm not an expert, but so far, so good. This is, I'm told, a "control" paddle—which is what I need. (Power isn't a problem for me.)

My only beef was the significant ridges on the handle grip. Personally, I don't like that feel. But since I was applying an overgrip anyway, it didn't affect me much.
