Frequently Asked Paddle Questions:
I want a graphite paddle. Which paddles are graphite?
With the exception of our wood paddles all of the paddles we sell are graphite paddles.
Do I need a tennis grip or a thin grip?
The type of grip you use is really a personal preference. The thick grip has a 4-½ inch circumference and the thin grip has a 4-inch circumference. If your hand is especially small the thin grip should be considered. Most
purchases are for the tennis grip.

If you order a paddle from PickleballCentral.com and you are not satisfied with the grip
you can return it to us for a replacement. We will pay for the return shipping.
How does the weight of a pickleball paddle impact play?
A lighter paddle provides slightly quicker response times but slightly less speed off the paddle as the ball is returned. A heavier paddle will provide a bit more speed off the hit but may slow down response time.
The weight differential between paddles is generally very minimal and will not be noticed by the average player.
Again, player preference wins over any hard and fast rule about weight. Try to experiment with various paddles to gauge your preferences before buying.
What about wood paddles?
Wood paddles are less expensive and heavier than graphite paddles.

Please note that all weights and measurements are approximate. We can try to meet your exact paddle weight needs if you contact us prior to placing an order.
